After a career as a professional footballer with, among others, STVV, OH Leuven and Westerlo,
Nils Schouterden began a new professional chapter in Spain.
In a recent news article, he reflects on this transition and on his current life on the Costa Blanca.
During the final years of his football career, Nils increasingly started to reflect on his future beyond the sport.
“I had a lot of ideas, but nothing concrete. That’s when I started to worry,” he explains in the article.
He also completed the coaching course, but it ultimately proved not to be the right path for him.
This summer, Nils moved with his family to Valverde, a village located between Elche and Alicante.
Speaking about life there, he says:
“The children come home from school with a smile, can play outside every day,
because the sun shines here every single day.”
Today, Nils works at NB-ESTATES as
Area Manager Costa Blanca South & Costa Cálida.

About his new professional life, he states:
