Beaches

Many beaches on the Costa del Sol have already won awards for hygiene and facilities. So wherever you go, you will always be close to a first-class beach. Thanks to its excellent climate, here you will find the longest beach season in Iberian Spain, with pleasant warmth from the beginning of April to the end of October.

AQUATICS

Every resort on the Costa del Sol has at least one watersports centre next to the beach. You have plenty of choices, from jet skiing to parasailing. Or you can opt for powerboat trips or unforgettable whale and dolphin-spotting cruises. Divers are not forgotten either, thanks to PADI-licensed centres in Torremolinos and Marbella, among others.

Golf courses

The Costa del Sol boasts more than 70 golf courses and rightly earns the nickname "Costa del Golf". Almost all the clubs are located on the coast, offering stunning views of the azure Mediterranean in the south and the varying coastal mountains in the north.

MALAGA

Malaga is a beautiful coastal city, bustling with culture. At the majestic Alcazaba Palace, you will learn about Spain's Islamic past. After which you can visit museums, one of which refers to Pablo Picasso, born here. Be sure to visit the festivals and immerse yourself in Andalusian culture.

RONDA

In this city, you are sure to take unforgettable photos. Ronda is located on a steep slope from where you have a great view over the 120-metre-high Puente Nuevo bridge. Round off your trip with a visit to the old town, full of medieval churches, palaces and squares.

LOCAL CUISINE

The Costa del Sol is brimming with good restaurants. Typical of the region are the chiringuitos, beach bars. Almost every beach has one where they offer classic Andalusian fried fish dishes. Typical are the skewered sardines, roasted over crackling wood fires.
